Misery

I've been out of town the past few days. Hurrah. Now I'm back. Boo.

I usually insist on traveling by bus. Unfortunately, both bus companies I use, Greyhound and Vamoose, have trapped me inside of buses with no air conditioning. This is unacceptable. With no way to open a window, those buses get like ovens. Demands for a refund were rebuffed and now I have to call customer service. Great. Thanks, Greyhound!

I guess I have to start insisting on the MARC.

  3. Dude, DC2NY bus or boltbus.com.

Vamoose is usually pretty good and those Hasidics run a tight ship most of the time.

  7. I took the DC2NY bus one time. You know, it was really not that bad. It was four hours from DC to Grand Central, and they showed a film. I, of course, prefer Amtrak but the bus is a reasonable, more economical alternative. Anything is better than flying DC to NYC. Tip: if you take bus don't go during AM or PM rush hours as you trip time will be greatly lengthened.

I've traveled with Vamoose many times in the past and I never had any issues with their service.
