I was more shocked to realize that our new Police Chief may in fact be possessed by the demon Pazuzu. To wit:
I hope black people and Hispanics remember to be very careful walking down those stairs on M Street.
I hope black people and Hispanics remember to be very careful walking down those stairs on M Street.
It kills me that you insist on underlining the names of newspapers.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a good thing, Rusty.
ReplyDeleteProjectile vomit is MUCH safer than tasers.
funny pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe new chief also contradicted herself in her first TV interview. She said that DC residents should NEVER feel they are safe from terrorists and should always be vigilant. Then 10 minutes later talked about how residents should feel safe from other crimes in their own homes and neighborhoods . RIIIIIIIIIIGHT? like robbery, rape, murder, gangs? those things never happen in DC...But on my way to work I must have seen 10 Al-Qaeda agents on R street. Whatever lady....
ReplyDeleteChicago style has underlining. AP Style does not. I still use some old Chicago habits (like using the Oxford comma) because that's the system I learned first.
ReplyDeleteCommenter A: (desperately ignoring the fact that there are no white criminals in georgetown for police to stop.) Funny pic, Rust.
ReplyDeleteCommenter B: (desperately ignoring the fact that there are no white criminals in adams morgan for police to stop.) Hey, are you sure you're supposed to underline a newspaper?
Rusty: (paralyzed by white guilt) I use Chicago style formatting.
I'm thinking of becoming a "white criminal" because I feel that we are currently underrepresented.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't know where to start.
What really burns me up is that while MPD wastes time stopping blacks and hispanics in georgetown, all the desperate, impoverished, underpriveliged white muggers and robbers rampage around UNOBSTRUCTED.
ReplyDeleteis mla too preskool??
ReplyDeleteMLA blows. Parentheticals instead of footnotes? I'd rather die.
ReplyDeleteRusty says he uses Chicago style, but according to Chicago style, newspapers referenced on the INTERNET are to be put in italics, otherwise readers (like me, everytime I visit this blog) will confuse it for a hyperlink.
ReplyDeleteIf your going to be a white criminal i recommend robbing your local Trader joes and work your way up
